It should run ok on Win8 in theory due to it using the Java virtual machine to do all the thinking, it would technically run on Mac or Linux if it didnt need. Keef have you tried running it natively without the compatibility mode, my thinking is if both need to be run as the same user to work, I wonder if compatibility mode is causing any issues with the OLE interface. vbs, my app calls wscript and then the vbs. I must admit, I am also not versed up as of yet on Win8 and if it uses a different default method to run. It must be the way that PlanePlotters OLE interface works, it must need to connect as the same user(Would love to have a chat with Bev on this one) Also vice versa running PlanePlotter as non admin and PPDetails as non admin, this also works (for me). I have never noticed this before, running as administrator also throws up the error message for me too, but if you run both PlanePlotter as administrator and PPDetails as administrator it works.

This hasnt been tested on Win8 but should not be an issue running in compatibility mode, I would suggest trying the steps we took with Triple7, so open %appdata%/ppdetails/config.ppd in a text editor and add the following, with your own locations and info for the custom buttons:

The issue that Triple7 was having was for some reason it would not populate a config file in %appdata%/ppdetails the config.ppd file, after entering the values in manually this is now working for Triple7, I still however would like to know why and am looking in to it. I do hope this isn't for everyone Please someone tell me it works for them
